Product: HP Color LaserJet Managed Flow MFP E87640-E87660z - Base Product 40-60 ppm

Hello,

 

We have an HP HP Color LaserJet Managed Flow MFP E87640-E87660z - Base Product 40-60 ppm. The machine has scan-to-external-devices capabilities. However, when I plug an external hard drive into the machine, I get an error. There are no error numbers, just the following error message: "External hard drive error: not supported."

 

Since the machine has scan-to-external-devices capabilities, and since my external hard drives are creating this error message when I plug them into the machine, is there a possibility that only certain external hard drives work with this particular machine, and some don't? I've used Seagates, Maxtors, and Westerns, all to no avail.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
