I recently ported a phone number into a fax number and I am unable to use on my printer I guess it can't be used without a landline. Any suggestions as to how I can use it to fax with online number without having to buy a new printer fax ?

To get the answer to this question, another option is to send a fax via an online service.

1. To send with online fax service, use your HP printer software, the HP Smart App, or the ePrint mobile app to scan and capture the document you want to send.
    
2. From the faxing app or software of your choice, select this document, specify the fax number to send it to, and create the cover sheet. The faxing service will send it just like regular fax through their phone line service as though you sent it yourself.

Note: There are many companies that offer this service, but you’ll need to do your research to see which one best suits your needs. Some offer monthly subscription prices for those who send many faxes each month. Others charge per fax or may offer free faxes if they are small and you allow advertising on your fax cover sheets. Whatever service you go with, ensure that their terms of service providers for adequate privacy and confidentiality of your messages and contact info.
