Hi @LM46

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how limiting it feels when you need to send a longer fax and the printer stops after just three pages. Thank you for already noticing the exact point where the issue occurs—that detail is very helpful.

Let’s go through some steps to get your OfficeJet Pro 9015e faxing properly:

Step 1: Check Fax Settings on the Printer

  1. On the printer’s control panel, open the Fax menu.
  2. Go to Settings > Fax Setup > Preferences.
  3. Look for options such as “Resolution” or “Scan and Fax.”
    • If resolution is set to “Fine” or “Photo,” try lowering it to “Standard.” Higher resolutions increase file size and can limit the number of pages.

Step 2: Confirm Paper Size and Document Format

  1. Make sure all pages are the same size (Letter or A4).
  2. Avoid mixing orientations (Portrait and Landscape) in the same fax job.
  3. If you are faxing from the document feeder, check that the guides are snug against the paper stack.

Step 3: Use the Document Feeder

  • Place the pages in the automatic document feeder (ADF) rather than scanning them one by one on the glass.
  • The ADF is designed to handle multi‑page fax jobs more reliably.

Step 4: Fax from the Computer

  1. Open the HP App on your Windows 11 computer.
  2. Select your printer, then choose Fax > Send Fax.
  3. Attach the document file (Word, PDF, etc.) and send directly.
    • This bypasses the scanner and allows longer documents to be faxed without page limits.

Step 5: Update Firmware

  1. Visit the HP support page for your model: HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e All‑in‑One Printer series (support.hp.com) Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support
  2. Download and install the latest firmware update.
  3. Restart the printer after installation.

Step 6: Test with a Larger Fax

  • Try sending a 5‑page document using the ADF or the HP App.
  • If it succeeds, the issue was likely related to resolution or feeder settings.

By aligning the fax resolution, using the ADF, and updating firmware, your printer should be able to handle more than three pages in a single fax.
