HP Color LaserJet MFP 477fnw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm trying to set up fax from PC for the HP 477fnw. I have it connected via Ethernet and the FULL software installed. The manual says this:

Send a fax from the software The procedure to send a fax varies according to your specifications. The most typical steps follow. 1. Click Start, click Programs (or All Programs in Windows XP), and then click HP. 2. Click the printer name, and then click Send fax. The fax software opens. 3. Enter the fax number of one or more recipients. 4. Load the document in the document feeder. 5. Click Send Now.

What software? Under HP in the start menu the only choices are HP Scan, User Guide, and Warranty & Legal Guide. I thought maybe under scan there was a scan to fax option but not seeing such a thing.

Any help?

Hi,

Download and install the HP Universal Fax Driver below:

http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=7529320&swItemId=ds_146586_2&swEnvOid=419...

Note: first extract the ZIP file by right clicking it, select Extract all and complete the Wizard.

Open the extracted folder, right click Setup.exe adn click Run as Administrator.

Once done print to the HP Universal Fax Driver, on the shown window select your printer and check the box to create a seperate queue for it.. from now on print to the Fax - HP Laserjet M477 printer to fax from your PC.

Try this link....

I ran into this very issue and was directed to this forum post.  As for you the link above did not work.  On the download page you will see 3 listings that all look the same.  I tried the top one listed as a 7mb file and it was only the driver and no application.  I then tried the middle one and that had an actual install.  Now when i click the start bar and click HP there is one that says HP Send Fax
