Fax hardware missing or not seated ? Never had this isuue before ?

Fax hardware missing or not seated? How do I fix this, I tried turn off on, unpluging, checking the fax line/cord, fax line check rreport comes back as no issues, yet I get this message when I try to use the fax on the machine?

1. Is the Fax cable connected to the printer?
2. Is it connected to the LINE 1 PORT?

Meanwhile, Run a fax test report and share the results -

Run a fax test to make sure that the fax is set up correctly.

1. From the control panel, open the Setup menu.

2. Select the Self Diagnostics menu.

3. Select the Run Fax Test option. The printer prints a test report.

Everything is connected correctly. It has worked before. When I try to update the firmware I get the message it is up to date. When I try to run the fax test I get the message "Fax hardware is either missing or not seated."

The fax is likely a secondary board connected to the formatter with a flat flexible cable (FFC). You would need to remove the side panel and  reseat this cable to see if that is where the problem lies. Otherwise it is possible that board itself has failed. Part number for the board for US devices is CE711-60001
