I can't send or receive faxes. It keeps saying my memory is full. I've emptied the fax log but it still won't work. I've tried unplugging everything as well.

I will try and help.On the machine there is a setting like faxes in memory. You will have to print or clear these faxes. Not to sure where exactly this setting is but the memory is to receive faxes when the printer is out of paper.I think it is up to 50 faxes.Sorry if i can't give the detail in full but haven't done one lately.
It is so nice to give some help where possible and the forum is a great idea Thank You.Sometimes a picture speaks louder than words to find a solution.Should you find my help use full just give some credit for my effort please.

Hi 1Lewis4life,
Please try to restore the default setting for fax and restart your printer.
To restore the printer to the original factory settings
From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).
Touch Printer Maintenance .
Touch Restore.
Touch Restore Settings.
Select Fax
Touch Restore.
A message appears stating that the settings will be restored.
Restart your printer.

I was getting the same thing. HP Support told me that I couldn't get any of my faxes, that I had to do a full reset of the machine.
I found an old post (from 2011!) where someone recommended to print faxes that were originally destined for an email box, just turn off the digital fax.
I did this in the web interface, under "Fax > HP Digital Fax > Digital Fax Profile" where I clicked the "Turn Off" button in the "Digital Fax to Email Status".
All of our faxes that had been backlogged for the past several days printed. I did get a hard error at some point, it was a blue screen with "B8273D42" and the power icon above it. I turned it off. Then I unplugged it for half a minute to let power drain. Then I plugged it in, and turned it back on. Then the rest of the faxes printed.
Since, I've turned the digital fax back on and everything's working well. Hopefully HP support will see this and add it to their scripts.
In the end, I believe that my whole problem was caused by a power outage. I suspect that when power came back on, that the fax was unable to reach the SMTP server. This was probably because the fax boots way faster than a mail server. Faxes must have just started backing up until it was full.
