Fax problem 283 and 244

I got a fax maskin that get repeted error code  283 and some times 244. Some times i got an ok fax and I can send fax  whitout poblems. Please whwt do errorcode 283 and 244 stand for?????

244:

The user of the remote machine has pressed the Stop key, causing the session to be prematurely terminated.

OR

The remote fax machine determined there was a feature incompatibility between the two machines and has terminated the session. An example would be when the local machine wanted to initiate polling, but the remote machine did not support this mode of operation.

*Make sure that the remote machine can accept and use polling.

*Reconfigure the local fax machine to use different configuration settings, enable or disable the ECM state, or select a slower reception speed.

283:

The telephone connection was lost or disconnected.

*Retry the transmission.

*If the error persists, and error correction is in use for the fax session, disable the ECM. Fax quality may be degraded.

*Set the host machine to receive at a slower transmission speed.

*Reattempt the fax reception at a different time when telephone line conditions have improved. Call the telephone provider if line conditions fail to improve.
