Hi I own an HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e and using it with a Mac mini M1 2020 running Ventura 13.5.2.  I used to be able to use full duplex scanning with the document feeder but that functionality is no longer an option after the recent update of the HP Smart application. Manually scanning a multiple page document becomes very time consuming and ineficient. Please help.

I understand that you are not getting the duplex option in the HP Smart app, I am glad to assist you.

Update the printer firmware to install the latest updates

Hi,

I checked and the printer firmware is up to date. The HP Smart app auto updated last night to version 16.5.1. I tried scanning a double sided document from the feeder and there still is no option that allows me to select that the document is double sided and enable duplex scanning.

Hi Sandytechy20,

 

I contacted support via chat but the Level 1 support was not able to resolve the issue. I asked for the issue to be escalated to Level 2 and have not been contacted even though I was told someone would call me within 48 hours. Please help.

Those recommendations do not work. 

The Software no longer has a Duplex Scanning option?

It was there in all previous versions, and is clearly available on the printer. The lack of duplex scanning to the computer is a major feature removal!!!!
