I am trying to set up the scan to email settings but keep getting an "Internal System Error."  I was able to set 1 email up but now cannot set up any other emails or even the network folder becuase of that error.  Any suggestions?  Does the HP embedded web server go down often?  Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer. I read that you're trying to setyp scan to email. You have successfully added one email and cannot add a second email. An error appears in the EWS (Embedded Web Server) page stating "Internal System Error".

I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

• Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address.

• Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.

• Go to "Network" tab - General - Select "Network protocols" - Select "Enable IPv4 only" (or similar) - Apply the settings.

• Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)

• Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.

• Click on radio button which says “Manual DNS Server” and under manual preferred type 8.8.8.8 and under manual alternate type 8.8.4.4 (This is Google DNS server address)

Once you have performed the above steps, please restart the router and the printer once.

I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Let me know how it goes. Good luck! 🙂
