I have a HP Deskjet 1050 printer. When I scan a document theres a portion on which theres a grey/black shade over. I have done a hard reset and also cleaned the scan bed properly and thoroughly but no luck. While printing a normal document theres no problem but only when I am scanning and copying this grey shade is present. Other printers I own do fine while scanning. Only this printer is giving me this issue. I have attached a picture below of the shade when nothing is placed on the scan bed.

This issue could occur if the scanner glass is dusty or the scanner bulb could be defective.

It didnt help. As I said I cleaned it already thoroughly and also hard reset my printer earlier. I dont know what else to do.

I understand that the issue has not resolved after following the steps mentioned in the previous interaction.

 

This could be a hardware issue with the unit.

You may select the country and type the product# of the unit and then follow the on-screen instructions to contact HP phone support.
