Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Laserjet 3380 connected to my PC.  Lately, whenever it is switched on, the following error message keeps appearing:

SCANNER ERROR 

POWER OFF POWER ON

 

I have tried everything as advised on threads on the internet but to noa vail.  What could be the problem  and do I need to do to fix the problem?  Kindly advise.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. Follow the steps below to resolve scanning problems using the HP Print and Scan Doctor

  1. Download HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  2. Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.
  3. Once HP Print and Scan Doctor is open, click Start, and then choose your printer.
    • If your printer is not listed, turn it on and click Retry.
    • If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in the tool.
  4. Click Fix Scanning.
