Apparently the User Guide is no longer avail online. If so,  where are instructions for usingFAX capability ?   Thanx.

The OfficeJet 4000 / 4500 is marked as Retired.

 

Normally, when a product is retired, all the HP documentations and any drivers would be deleted from HP resources.

Is your HP Product “vintage? (Ten years of age or older)

Typically, HP stops supporting consumer products after ten years. Read the policy and find out if your HP device is on the list. “EOL”

I did find that the User Guide is (at this writing) available.

I suggest you download and save the manual.
