We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I am trying my best to scan using the HP Officejet 4635 app in the PC.  It was scanning ok till two days ago and now it says The HP officejet 4630 series was not found.  I have tried everythin mentioned in all sites (deleting the drive) and all, nothing solves it.

If you have not done so, 

If you are running Windows 10,

Consider / Try

 

After you have uninstalled the printer software from the computer and restarted the computer,

Set the downloaded executable (installation package) to run in Compatibility mode for Windows 7

 

Method – Manual – Set Compatibility

 

Download and Save the Full Feature Software to your computer

Navigate to your Downloads folder and open the folder so you can view the contents

Right-Click on the downloaded installation file > Properties > Compatibility 

Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for"

Select Windows 7

Click Apply and OK to close the Properties menu

Right-Click on the program and select to Run as Administrator

 

After the software installs, Restart the computer and log in.

I started a new thread a couple of hours ago, that has yet to post, explaining my isses with a "new" 4635 I have related to this same issue. My 4632 won't accept HP ink cartridges any longer, but it still scans. My 4635 won't scan, but it prints correctly. So, when I read this, I tried it, and it still has the same issue. I have been running the HP Print and Scan Doctor for the past 15 minutes, and it has a Driver Check issue, and when I skipped that check, it is hung up on the Windows (WIA) Scan. In Deevice Manager (under the Inaging devices - HP Pfficejet 4630 series (USB)) it shows: (General) The device is working properly. (Driver) Hewlett-Packer   4/16/2013   31.0.1150.42326    Microsoft Windows Compatability Publisher. (Details) HP Officejet 4630 series (USB)  (Events under information) Device USB\VID_03F0&PID_C611&MI_00\8&2ac4fa9d&7&0000 requires further installation.

 

So, the compatability mode, although logical in some respects, did not do a thing to help the proble. None of which makes since considering the fact that the 4632 does scan with either type installation.
