Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. I have ordered the HP 7740 All-in-One and after reading some of the earlier posts here in the HP community, I am concerned that the scan quality is not going to be sufficient. Apparently there is a lot of post-processing going on "under the hood" with digital noise and sharpening and artifacting and pixellation. Are there advanced/professional settings to avoid all of this "HP-thinks-it-should-be-automatically-processed-this-way-for-the-casual-user?" No buyer who has need of a tabloid printer and scanner is a casual user. If this All-in-One can't scan well enough, I'll be cancelling my order. Thanks.

@bkoski, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

You can adjust the scan quality using the HP Smart app or the HP Easy Scan app that can be downloaded from the App Store.

For more info on scanning, refer to - How to scan with an HP printer. The flatbed glass provides more dpi than the feeder. 

Kindly use the product to know the quality. I'm sure the store has a return period, if not satisfied.
