Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended
HP 8610 Pro
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Scanner worked fine for several years.  Low volume infrequent use but now the ADF doesn't load paper any longer.

Cleaned rollers as recommended.  It appears a paper sensor is not picking up that paper is loaded.  

Any trouble shooting, testing or repair steps appreciated.

Hi @JAK14,

  

If you have already performed the steps from the document ADF does not pick paper or feeds in too many sheets and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
