Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

My 8620 no longer scans wirelessly from my computer.  I always used HP Easy Scan software. It used to work perfectly. I still can print wirelessly. I upgraded software but it still doesn't work.

Hi,

Please make sure your operating system is up to date with 10.5.3, else it will fail.

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and be sure to install any available update.

 

Next, install below latest drives package from Apple:

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1888?locale=en_US

 

Finally, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, click the plus sign and add the printer,

be sure to select the HP Officejet Pro 8600 option within the Use drop-down menu.

Double-click the printer, then click on Printer Settings, within the Utility tab click on Open Utility and make sure that Scan to Computer is enabled.
