Product: HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

I use a MacBook laptop and have an HP 8620.  I changed my Wi-Fi in my house.  The HP printer and the MacBook are on the same Wi-Fi.  I can do everything from the MacBook to the printer, but have one problem with scan.  I have both the HP Easy Scan and the HP Utility apps for MacBook’s.  I have “enabled” scan to printer in the HP Utility.  However, if I turn off my MacBook (every night) and turn it on, I get an error message on the HP 8620 when I try to scan.  It says – need to download certain software.  However, I have all the software and the HP Utility still shows “scan to computer” is enabled.  If I uncheck and recheck, the problem is solved.  However, I shouldn’t have to do that each time.  It should be permanently remembered.  Any tips / advice?
