HP 8710 fax log memory always full!

Lately it seems that my fax log memory is ALWAYS full, like at least every couple of weeks. I do need to receive faxes for work and often can't get any and don't even get notified of unsuccessful attempts. Sometimes I'll just look and see that it says the memory log is full (yes, I know how to clear it) but how is it filling up so fast? I get maybe five or six faxes per week so it's not like hundreds. I want to disable this so the memory does not hold anything and no longer prevents me from receiving faxes that I really need without even telling me I've missed them! Really hope someone can help...

First things to consider:  lower the resolution, consider using black/white as opposed to color.

What else?

I do not know of a way to disable the log so it dumps / erases by itself.

What else?

Switch off whatever you can - this goes with reducing the resolution and opting for black/white faxes...

and...

This is the "little brother" printer in the series - some of the nice digital features available in the more expensive models may  not be included in the "8710" models.
