Recently the name on my computer was . I can't find any information about how to change the Hp reference. Has anyone else    experienced  this problem and able to fix it?

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

 

Assumed that the FULL feature software is installed?  If not, this resource will be useful:

 

Installing the Software for HP Officejet Pro 8730

(same family printer series but make sure you select HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 rather than the 8730 software)

 

If the FULL feature software is already installed, start up the HP Printer Assistant and go to Scan and then "Manage Scan to Computer"

 

How to Scan to Computer

Once you have installed the software:

1. Click on the printer Icon (on your desktop) and it will bring up the HP Printer Assistant.
2. Under the Scan menu, there is a “Manage Scan to Computer”, click on that.
3. Make sure that you “Enable” Scan to Computer. Also make sure the tab “Automatically start Scan to Computer when I log on to Windows” is checked if you want to make this feature permanent. (the following video will show you how)
