Officejet Pro 9015
macOS 10.14 Mojave

Photographs scanned on the 9015 flatbed have this strange "photoshop like" smoothing filter applied to the image, even when saved as uncompressed tiff. I have tried HP Smart Scan, Hp Easy Scan, VueScan, and all render image the same. I thought it might be the unit, but have returned it and replaced with another same model, Same problem persists. Is this the best I can expect? Does not seem right. See samples. Images are cropped, at 100% 300 dpi.

Hi Kumar0307.

The firmware is up to date. I have tried your suggestions even before you suggested them. I installed the Hp software and drivers on my Win97 Pc to try and run the "Print & Scan doctor". All checks out as ok.

Please save the 2 images I have posted and open them together and look at them at 100% . You will see the quality  differences. Looking forward to your comments.

Thanks.
