Hi @bguinn49,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you scanned a document using an HP All-in-One printer and closed the app without saving, here are a few steps you might take to try to retrieve the scanned document:

Check the Default Save Location:

  • Sometimes scanned documents are automatically saved to a default location on your computer, such as a designated folder like "Documents" or "Pictures". Check these folders to see if the file was saved there.

Use HP App:

  • If you used the HP app, open the app and check if there is a "Recent Scans" or "Scan History" section that might list recent scans.

Search for File Types:

  • Use your computer's search feature to look for recent files with common file extensions for scanned documents, such as .pdf, .jpg, or .png.

Temporary Files or Recycle Bin:

  • Sometimes scanned files are temporarily saved or may accidentally move to the Recycle Bin. Check these areas on your computer.

Rescan the Document:

  • If the document was not saved or cannot be found, you might need to rescan the document.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
