I want to scan a ton of pictures and find that the 3 most important requirements are:

1.  Auto assigned unique file name

2. Designate and save what folder I want the photos saved to (not Cloud)

3. Be able to share via email a recently scanned photo from the Scanning app

 

The old scan software did all 3 but I don't have it anymore.

Scan and Capture does #2

HP Smart Scan option does #1 and #3

 

Which does all 3?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,  
To get the answer to this question, those are the only options currently available with apps. 

 

And, also update the printer firmware: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16 to get the best and latest features from your printer firmware.
