HP COLOR LASERJET pRO mfp 3301 SCANS A MULTIPLE PAGE DOCUMENT INTO LOTS OF SEPARATE DOCUMENTS.  I need the multi page document as a single scanned document. (Sorry about the capital letters, I had caps lock on by mistake)

Hi @Delboystride,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301 is scanning each page as a separate file instead of merging them into a single document. Try these steps to enable multi-page scanning.

Use HP Smart App

  1. Open the HP Smart app on your computer.
  2. Click on Scan.
  3. Select Document Feeder or Flatbed, depending on how you're scanning.
  4. Before scanning, make sure the "Save as a Single File" or "Combine Pages into One File" option is enabled (it may be under settings or advanced options).
  5. Scan your document, and all pages should be saved as a single file.

Use Windows Fax and Scan (if on Windows)

  1. Open Windows Fax and Scan (search for it in the Start menu).
  2. Click New Scan.
  3. Choose your printer and adjust the settings.
  4. Scan the first page, then click "Add" or "Scan Another Page" before saving.
  5. When finished, save the document as a PDF to keep all pages together.

Use HP Scan Software

  1. Open HP Scan (comes with the HP full driver package).
  2. Select PDF as the file type.
  3. Look for an option like "Combine into a Single Document" and enable it.
  4. Scan all pages, then save.

If you’re scanning from the printer panel, check if there’s a multi-page setting or an option to change the file format.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
