Color LaserJet Enterprise 5800f
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have installed the HP Full Software Package for the Color LaserJet Enterprise 5800f and and having problems with the Scan to Network Folder.  Both the computer and the printer are on the same network and workgroup.  Printing works fine.  The computer that we are trying to scan to is named QueenBee and the folder we are trying to save to is User Katie's Documents folder.  So the path is \\QueenBee\Users\Katie\Documents.  I have created the Network Share Folder in the EWS and a Quick Set and everything seems to work fine when I scan.  It asks for the User Name and Password for the network folder which I enter and it scans the document.  But, it doesn't save it on that computer or in that folder.  The Job Log just shows that it 'Failed' but doesn't say why.  The folder has read/write permissions so I don't know why it isn't working.

I am not sure from your description if you have updated the permissions on the folder on the computer?  I have found that full control is sometimes required as opposed to simply read/write permissions. Also note that in some cases, depending on your network you will need to use the IP address of the workstation in place of the hostname.

For example: IP address of Queen Bee is 192.168.10.10

Your scan to folder path would then be \\192.168.10.10\users\katie\documents.

You need to do this as internal DNS (domain name services) do not always provide proper conversion of name to IP address.

Yes, I have tried to use the IP address of the PC and an error says that "." cannot be used...  The folder has full permissions.
