Product: HP Color LaserJet MFP M477fdw
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Suddenly, can't scan to email using HP Scan Program.  Messages look like protection issues.

Can scan to User's Desktop but not to User's Email (Outlook 2010).

Last software installed was ACRONIS True Image 2019 & BitDefender TotalSecurity 2019.

Any suggestions appreciated...

Hi,

Please create any file on your desktop (e.g. a New Text Document), right-click it and select Send To > Mail Recipient.

 

Does it launch a new Message dialog by Outlook with the file attached as created, or may you see any similar error or may nothing happens when performing a such?

 

Please let me know the results, the HP Scan software launch an outlook dialog using the same method as the operating system does it when clicking Send To > Mail Recipient - can the operating system itself complete this task with no issues?

A plain .TXT file using send to Email recipient works as desired.

However, when using the HP Scan app, no email dialog opens.

Instead, get a message popup as follows:

The only work-around I've found so far is to scan to desktop, then send from desktop.

Not what the customer ordered... 🙂
