We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

So, I recently hooked up my Deskjet again, and turned it on to find it just kinda freezes.  It keeps repeating the same cycle of the scanner light bar moving out about 1/2 and inch or so, then back to home, then back to 1/2 an inch or so, then back to home and the whole things repeats.  The power button indicator is flashing, but none of the other indicators are (well, the black ink is showing out, but it was like that before I put it into storage).

 

Any ideas on how to fix it?  Or is it just borked?  I can probably replace it for cheaper than taking it to repair shop.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

  • Connect the printer directly to wall outlet.
  • Reset the printer.
  • If it does not work, please contact HP phone support for further assistance.
