Hello,  I have an issue with the scanner.  Even if I scan a small photo (please see image below), lines constantly appear.  I've done HP Print and Scan Doctor so many times already, but it's still not resolve.  Any help or info would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Seems like an issue. Can you try the following : .

1. Ensure that the scan cover is closed properly.

2. Switch off the power of the printer

3. Unplug the power cord from the printer.

4. Wait for one minute, plug back the power cord to the printer (do not use a power extension but plug directly into the wall socket)

5. Press the power button to power on the printer.  Let the printer start up and initialize.

6.  Try to do a Copy job.

Do you still see the issue?  If not, then you can try to scan your document again..

Hope that helps!

it seems like almost a half of the scan area have this bluish tint.  i got the same result when scanning.

it's better than my first post, but it's still no good. 😞

Hi @underdsamesky

Thansk for trying out the Copy job.

At this point, it does seems pretty likely that the scanner is defective.

If it's still under warranty, you may want to call for service.

Hope that helps.
