HP Deskjet 3632
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi, I was going to scan some photos as bitmaps but the HP Scan program that came with my Deskjet 3632 printer does not provide that image type output, only Jpeg and pdf.  Am I missing something or is that not an option with this printer?  Thank you.

Select Everyday Scan from HP Scan.  Now select File Type and you will find BMP.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

The HP Scan  software only supports "Save as PDF" or "Save as Jpeg" as pointed out.

However, you can still scan in BMP format by using the Windows scan.

Follow these steps :

1. Go to Windows Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers

2. Right click on your printer and select Start Scan  (you may see some scan settings propmt but just click OK)

3.  Select BMP under "File type" and scan!

Right Click and select Start scanRight Click and select Start scanSelect BMP under "File type"Select BMP under "File type"

Hope that helps!
