i'm trying to scan pictures with my new HP Deskjet 3700 All-in-one with  hp-scan on Fedora 34/Linux with hplip version: hplip-3.21.12-1.fc34.x86_64. it fails with both jpg and png outputs:

 

error: ADF scans must be saved in PDF file format.

 

if i can't scan pictures the scanner is useless to me? my model is: Bus 003 Device 008: ID 03f0:0653 HP, Inc DeskJet 3700 series
