i am trying to scan 4 x 6 pictures onto a memory card that i just went out and bought. it’s a 64GB SANDISK. the printer says the pictures scan perfectly to the memory card, but when i stick it into my mac, they don’t show up. it’s completely empty.

@lotusgrin, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Check if the memory card you are using is a 'Secure Digital' card. According to the printer specifications, this printer supports only Secure Digital memory cards.

Also, check if the light is ON at the memory card slot.

Try scanning to JPEG/PDF format and check if that helps.

 

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your MAC.
