We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

when i push the "Copy" button and the push either the "Start Black" or the "Start Color"

There are a number of possibilities that can cause this problem.

 

If the ink cartridge is not genuine HP, and you have the "e" series printer, then it wont print

 

If the default is to pull from the feeder and there is no paper in the feeder then it wont start

 

If the document is scanned but it prints only a warning you may be trying to print a blocked item such as a negotiable instrument (eg: $ bill)

 

Look for errors using the EWS

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Not Helpful. I am not stupid. Of course i am using HP Ink Cartridge. Paper tray is full.

 

Problem is when i touch the "Copy" icon on the printer screen the screen changes to either "Start Black" or Start Color". when i touch either of those Icons nothing happens. Not even an error message

Sorry, that is the only think I can think of other than the printer or the printer's console is defective.

 

if you can print from a PC or smartphone, then the cartridges are genuine.

 

I looked at the firmware update and there is nothing in the the "fixes" that solve any type of problem like you have but maybe it will help

HP Smart can perform a copy command on most printers.  Bring up HP Smart and see if the color or B&W copy command works. If it works then the console heat sensor is defective or has lost is positioning.   you may try using your finger slightly away from the copy command icon and see if it is sensed.  I had a smartphone that lost is sensor accuracy and had to be calibrated.  I do not know of any printer consoles that have sense calibration.
