It happens frequently, until now I've been able to finally get it to scan.  HP always provides their completely useless help.  I bought a spare HP 7855,  it won't even agree there's no paper jam.

I'm very close to the sledge hammer. Any way to persuade the SCAN function to work,  or does HP have it timed to stop working?

 

Am buying a separate scan software to see if that helps.

Obviously HP knows of the defect, as always,  doesn't give a rats ... any suggestions?   Is there separate software that works for you?

 

Oh,  if you haven't discovered,  HP requires all sorts of jumping through hoops, a 4 digit code??? special passwords, etc.,  before I'm allow to tell the world what an incredible piece of junk they sell.

  2. What is the error you are receiving?
  3. What application are you using to scan ?
  4. How is the printer connected to the device USB or wireless?
