I have tried to install HP Easy Scan on two MacBooks and while it creates a HP Scan App and a HP directory the HP Utility doies not get installed and when I try to use the HP Easy Scan on both Mac my HP Officeet Pro 8600 Plus does not come up.  I can print to to the printer from the Macs but cannot scan.  I have removed the Easy Scan app and the HP directory and reinstalled but still not successful.  I reset the print system on the Mac too.  Any suggestions?

Senan, believe it or not, when I brought up Image Capture and chose + it wanted me to add drivers for the HP printer.  Once I did that I brought up HP Scan and it found my printer and worked.  I prefer to use HP Scan as it does both jpb and pdf.  Thanks so much!!!

I understand you are not able to scan using HP Easy Scan and I'll be glad to help you out. However, for an accurate solution, I would need more details:

How is the printer connected, USB, Ethernet or Wireless?

Have you tried scanning using Image Capture?

Are you able to scan from other devices?
