Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

I've had my current MacBook Pro since the M1 release (Nov 2021) and I was able to install the HP Smart app along with a separate HP Easy Scan.  I can't remember how I downloaded the HP Easy Scan, but I believe it was via the Apple App Store, just like the Smart App (also might have been able to download through the Smart App?).  Currently, I still have the HP Easy Scan installed and haven't had any issues scanning with it since installing it, even works with the newest Mac OS Ventura.

Recently got another Mac (running same OS) and I'm trying to set that up with the HP Easy Scan app as well.  I've installed the HP Smart App, connected to the printer and it's fully functional, but I can't seem to find a way to load the HP Easy Scan app at all.  Going to the HP website to try and directly download the software, it just redirects to the HP Smart App in the Apple App Store.  Even searching the Easy Scan application is not found in the App Store.  The support shows that it installs the Easy Scan app automatically and it should be in the applications folder, but it's not there (tried several reinstalls).

Does anyone know if they no longer offer it?  The interface was so much easier to use than the built in scan tile app on the Smart App.
