We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I am having exactly the same issue.  I have an M476nw with a Mac Pro M1 running Monterey 12.0.1.  I can install the print driver and it works via AirPrint, but I am not able to use the scan function at all.  I have downloaded HP Easy Scan and HP Smart - neither are able to access the scanner (probably because the driver does not support the scanner).  This is very frustrating.  Please update the drivers or otherwise allow us to use the older driver to access the scanner until you are able to update the driver fully for Monterey/M1.

I was able to scan using HP Smart, but it is a really slow-to-load application.  It is not something I would like to use long-term.  Hoping HP realizes that HP Easy Scan needs an update to keep up with the latest technology.  That app was simple, clean, and fast.

I cannot get HP Smart to work either.  It is a problem wit the driver.  The driver will work to allow printing, but it does not work to allow scanning (either natively in MacOs or via HP Easy Scan).

 

Can someone please tell us this problem is being worked on and a solution will be published shortly.  There are others on this board that seem to have found a solution but I do not have enough technical ability to implement their fix (and the fix has been taken down in any event - for understandable reasons - as it could be manipulated).

 

Some assistance from HP would much appreciated.
