HP Easy Scan 1.10.0 worked fine until I upgraded from Mac OS 12 to 13 (Ventura). The software appears to work OK. It will run and scans the document from my HP LaserJet Pro MFP. However, if the scanned document is then saved as a PDF, it saves a blank file. It will save as a JPG.

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling HP easy scan? If not try that and see how it goes.

Found if I save it as a searchable PDF, it works, but as a standard PDF, it is totally blank. At this stage, I have not done a reinstall.

Concerning the HP smart app, I dislike it intensely and find it a poor alternative for scanning.

Hi:

 

I uninstalled and re-installed the app and same outcome.  Searchable PDF works, but plain pdf only gives you blanks.

 

MAC OS 13.0.1 hardware Mac  Book Pro M1 chip.

 

I concur about the HP Smart App.  Cumbersome.
