HP Envy 4510 All in One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

OK. I will ask again. This printer is hooked up as a network printer on 2 separate laptops running Windows 10, another laptop running Windows7 and a desktop running Windows Vista. I cannot scan or copy with this printer. I get a little window in the taskbar that says "scan to computer currently unavailable" If I put a document in the top of the printer and push copy it does nothing. I then do a hard reset and I get an error code OXC4EB9343 HWLMICC12 C. No matter what I do I cannot get this printer to copy a document or an image. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software at least 5 times on every computer and I still have the same problem. I do not wish to take this printer to a repair shop. If that is the case I will throw it out in the street and buy a Dell printer.

@dennistomlin Welcome to HP Forums!

I suggest you upgrade the firmware on the printer: click here for instructions and once done, perform a power reset using the below steps:

(please ensure after a power reset, that the main power is plugged in directly to a wall outlet avoiding any power bars or surge protectors)

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FIRMWARE FOR HP ENVY 4510

  • Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
  • Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
    • NOTE:
    • HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  • Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  • Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

I followed your instructions and uninstalled the software. I then followed the link you provided and reinstalled the software. After installation I restarted the computer and then unplugged the printer with the power still on. After 5 minuter I plugged the printer in and let it go through it's startup and then tried to copy a document. Nothing. Not even a status bar on the printer. The printer will print a document.

Next I downloaded and ran Print and Scan Doctor. Ran "Fix Printing" I got a message saying that my software was not up to date and I needed to download and install new software. Print and Scan Doctor then updated the software and installed all new software. After all of that was done I went to the printer and unplugged it while the power was still on and after 5 minutes I replugged the printer in. After all the startup I tried to copy a document. Nothing. The printer will print a document.

So after all of this I went back and ran Print and Scan Doctor again. Ran "Fix Printing". Now it tells me that the full version software in not installed, that I need to install more software. Now the printer does not show up in "Devices and Printers" in the control panel. So I have to "Add a Printer". Go through the whole deal of adding a new printer and then restart the PC.

After restarting the PC I checked to see if the printer will print. The printer will print.
Check to see if printer will copy. Printer will not copy.

Decided to run Print and Scan Doctor again. Ran "Fix Scanning". It tells me there is a driver error, that I need to restart the Computer. Restart the computer.

After restarting the Print and Scan Doctor continues running and comes up with a "Driver Check" box checked with a message that says "This tool is unable to solve the problem even after a restart. Go to HP Customer Care to get help resolving this issue".
