Hi @Dolly53,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To send scanned documents from your HP Envy 5052 to your email address, you typically need to set up the email settings on your printer. Here's a general guide that should help you achieve this. Please note that the steps might vary slightly based on the specific printer model and the email service you're using.

Ensure Email Functionality:

  • Make sure that your HP Envy 5052 has the capability to send emails. Some printers may require additional features or firmware updates to enable this functionality.

Connect to the Internet:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet. This is crucial for sending emails.

Printer Email Setup:

  • Access your printer's control panel or settings menu. This is typically done using the touchscreen or physical buttons on the printer.
  • Navigate to the "Scan" or "Email" options.
  • Look for "Email Setup" or a similar option.

Enter Email Credentials:

  • You'll likely need to enter your email address and password. This is the email account to which the scanned documents will be sent.
  • Provide any additional information requested, such as the SMTP server settings. You might need to get this information from your email provider.

Test Email:

  • Some printers have a "Test Email" option. Use this to confirm that your email settings are correct and that the printer can successfully send emails.

Scan and Email:

  • Once the email setup is complete, you can proceed to scan a document.
  • Select the email option and choose your email address as the destination.
  • Scan the document, and the scanned file should be sent to your email address.

Check Your Email:

  • Open your email inbox to confirm that the scanned document has been successfully sent.

If you encounter any issues during the setup process, refer to your printer's user manual or documentation.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
