I am Operating macOS Big Sur version 11.4
When scanning photos, I set Resolution at 300 dpi (or even 1200 dpi). But all of the scans (when I open them in Photoshop) are 72 dpi resolution.
Help!
All suggestions to solve this problem are welcome.
Thanks so much.

@KConwayB, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you are having issues with scan resolution. To assist you better, which app are you using to scan?
Use the HP Smart app or HP Easy Scan from the App Store and check if that helps.
NOTE: The maximum dpi at which you can scan is limited by available computer memory, disk space, and other system factors.
Update the printer firmware
Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Also, check for any software updates on Mac
Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.
For more info on scanning, refer to - How to scan with an HP printer
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
