When I go to the scan function I do not get an option for two sided scanning in the pull down menu.  Before one of the recent updates, the older software had this feature.  When I scanned a double sided document, the scan would process the stack then send a message to turn around and re-enter the stack to capture the second side.  This feature seems to have disappeared.  What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

It seems to be a software issue with the exsiting scanning software.

 

Download and use HP Scan Extended instead:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

 

Set the Page Sides option as 2-sided to scan both sides.

Schlomi,

Many thanks for your fast response to my question.  I did as you advised, downloaded the file, restarted and tried the scan function.  The "Page Side" pull down still only shows 1 side so the fix did not appear to modify the software as we had hoped.  Any other thoughts?

Schlomi, my apologies!  It DID work!  My mistake was thinking the link you sent was a patch for the HP software but then I realized it was not a patch but rather an entirely alternative software!  You are a genius!

Thanks but my mac OSX couldn't open this. Is there a more current update for apple platform?
