hp Envy Pro 6420
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I've bought hp Envy Pro 6420. I've connected it with my desktop which run windows 7. The printer shows in my computer as HP Envy Pro 6420 series PLC3. I can print from desktop computer. but HP Envy Pro 6420 series PLC3 application does not show any option for scan. How can I install scan driver and scan. I've downloaded HP Print and Scan Doctor HPPSdr.exe and tried to run, but it did not run successfully, HPPSdr.exe stopped running in Step1 i.e. during searching the device. Please help, I need to scan documents.

Hi,

Do you keep your operating system up to date? for an older operating system that might be crucial, the lack of scan support and the lack of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility working may indicate a missing system updates, please make sure your computer is fully up to date:
