Which scan program is used?
Is there a screenshot of the resolution selection?

For example:

Save as JPEG 015-1.png

Close all programs,

try this Solution:

  1. Download only this file: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
  2. Close all programs

Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the msi.

OPTIONAL:

Add HP Scan Extended shortcut to Taskbar / Send to Desktop / Pin to Start
    • Open File Explorer > Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP Scan Extended\bin
    • Right-Click on "HPScan.exe" > Select Pin to Taskbar / Send to Desktop / Pin to Start

Is the resolution of 4800 dpi now displayed?

No,

but switch off the printer and shutdown the computer.

Switch on the printer, wait until the printer has fully booted up

Switch the computer back on

double click on the HP Scan Extended

Does it work now?

If not, this software can be uninstalled again.

HP MFP Scan has an extended function, according to the manual. Has this been activated?

Why HP MFP Scan can only scan up to a maximum of 600 dpi must be clarified.

The information in the spec. is incorrect and will be corrected.
The correct specification is already published under this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/details/hp-laser-mfp-130-printer-series/model/24494382

The maximum resolution for

  • ADF = 300 dpi
  • Flatbed = 600 dpi

So everything is fine.

Kind Regards
