I have couple HP LaserJet 700 color MFP M775 with the latest firmware 2308955_579092 installed. All are unable to scan to email thourgh office 365

 

Settings

Smtp server: smtp.office365.com

Port: 587

Enable SMTP SSL/TLS Protocol: Check

Validate Certificates for utgoing server connections: tried uncheck and check

Server requires authenicaiton: office 365 email address and password

 

I have HP LaserJet 400 colorMFP M475 also. No problem at all on this model so for sure not firewall blocked 587 or problem on office365 server/account/usernams/password.

 

any help would be appreciated

Hello, 

 

Please try the below mentioned steps ..

 

When you set scan to email profile for your printer, you have a checkmark to request server's scertificate option... uncheck that box and perform the test again, then check for any difference.

Appreciated your response.

 

It works if I uncheck “Validate cerificates for …” and selected “service does not require authentication”

But, got error if I uncheck “Validate cerificates for …” and selected “server  requires authentication”
