HP LaserJet Datev Uploadmail Problem

Datev a Software used by many tax advisors has the option to direktly mail pdf so it can be ocr scanned and used within the application.

For this method Datev generates a E-Mail adress with a 36digit string and end it with @uploadmail.datev.de

So the Total email lenght is 57 digit String

But The HP Adressbook can only Store a max of 50 Digiits and this is really a pain in the ass. So you should update your Firmware to accept longer email adresses. 50 digits come on? Its not 1990.

there is a length limit on email addresses: That limit is a maximum of 64 characters (octets) in the “local part” (before the “@”) and a maximum of 255 characters (octets) in the domain part (after the “@”) for a total length of 320 characters.

Wenn Sie versuchen Datev Upload Mail mit einem HP Drucker zu verwenden wird es nicht funktionieren, da das Adressbuch max. 50 Zeichen zulässt und die von Datev generierte Email Adresse eine länge von 57 Zeichen hat.

Nach aktuellen Spezifikationen dürfen E-Mail Adressen 320 Zeichen lang sein, jedoch hat HP dies auf 50 Zeichen im Drucker begrenzt, was leider blöd ist.

wow this is such a bad support from HP. Deleted all my replys to highlight the topic and is not answering anything.

Last comment was that maybee i should start a lawsuite against HP because of not folowing standards and what now you can delete this comment too... What is wrong with you? Just keep saying nothing and doing nothing wont help
