LaserJet M1522nf MFP
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

My customer owns a HP LaserJet M1522nf MFP (connected via USB) and uses it with a Mac running macOS High Sierra 10.13.3. 

 

While printing works fine. I am unable to get the scanner working as it doesn't allow me to install the drivers. 

 

Is this MFP incompatible with macOS 10.13.3 or is there a workaround I can use to get the scanner functioning again?

Hi,

Scanning was supported for your printer on Lion, OS X 10.7 or earlier versions only.

 

Starting from 10.8 or any later version only print and fax capabiltieis are available and scan is no longer supported as listed by below chart:

Although scan drivers are no longer provided by HP you may try the 3rd party Vuescan application which seems to support the M1522 model:
