Product: HP LaserJet Pro MFP M227fdn
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (64-bit)

We are trying to setup scan to network on our HP MFP and can't seem to find the setting in the web interface to do this. We seen that you can setup network scanning through the HP software but when we try and install it we get an error that the OS is not supported. 

 

Is there any work around for this we really need to be able to scan to network with the 

HP LaserJet Pro MFP M227fdn

Hi,

Scanning to a network folder is only supported on touchscreen models for that series, your printer do not support a such.

 

you will need to install the software through the command line on a server as listed below, not via the standard graphical installation:

https://support.hp.com/bg-en/document/c03351547

 

be sur to use the ENTERPRISE=YES property to install it on a server.

Hi Provost

 

The link you recommended mentions Officejet printers, but would this method also work for the Laserjet M227fdn? Also it mentions Windows 2012, but would it also work for 2012 R2?

Also there is no full feature software available for Windows 2012 R2 for the M227fdn. What software can I use to have the scan to folder feature installed on the server?
