HP LaserJet Pro M428fdn
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hello. HP Scan on Windows 7 x86 does not work on the new HP LaserJet Pro MFP M428fdw. It produces a message:
"The scanner could not complete the scan. Make sure that the scan function is enabled on the device. For more information, contact the administrator or the person who set up the device. If scanning is enabled, the problem may have occurred with the scan settings. Check the settings and try again. If the problem is repeated, contact support. " Scan activated. Can anybody help?

Enable remote scan in Embedded Web Server and try will it work:

In the Embedded Web Server, open the Settings tab, click Security, click Administrator Settings, select the Enable checkbox beside Scan from a Computer or Mobile Device, and then click Apply.

Thanks, all worked well. Another question is how to activate the scan function without connecting to a network; activating a scan through the HP Printer Assistant does not help.
