HP Laserjet Enterprise 775z+
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

We have a number of HP Laserjet Enterprise 700 Color MFP (M775z+) printers. One of the devices has developed an issue when copying from the flatbed area:

Place an A4 or A3 sheet on the flatbed with Copy selected off the user interface

The screen identifies correctly which size has been placed.

Hit the Copy button and the device looks as if it will process the request but then throws up a window stating:

'Unable to automatically detect the original size, select the size then touch 'Continue' or open and close the scanner lid'

The sensors have been tested with the built in utility and appear to register ok for page edges.

The glass has been cleaned.

The white backing has been checked for any marks.

Other identical devices do not throw up this error.

Any suggestions?

Re-flashed firmware onto the MFD and retested it. All seems to be working now 🙂
