HP Laserjet Enterprise M430f MFP
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently installed a new HP Laserjet Enterprise M430f MFP. Printer ist connected by LAN, has a fixed IP. I can reach the browser interface. Installation of the printer was easy, the printer was found at the correct IP and worked immediately.

The scan software does NOT find the scanner. After providing the correct IP address the installation finished without error. "Scanner found and connected (or sth like that)". Starting the scanner software brings up an error: "No device connected."

I removed the software and reinstalled it with deactivated firewall. Same result. I don't know, what else I could do... Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

BTW: HP Smart does not recognize the scanner and shows no scanning options.

Scanning directly from the printer to a shared network directory works. But the scanner always asks for loading the path options. It does not remember these settings on the next scan job. That's annoying.

Open a web browser, enter the printers IP address to access printer EWS. When you have access to EWS go to:

Settings tab ->  Security -> Administrator Settings -> in the list find and enable Webscan -> Apply then try to scan.

Enabling Webscan did not solve the problem.
