We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Hi, I've been using M277dw for many years successfully.  The scanner recently stopped working out of the blue.  The scanning app will run as normal but it won't feed or read any documents from the bed.  It just loads a blank page on the screen each time I run a scan.  The printer does not make any noises either.  It's the same problem on both computers in our office that use this printer.  I tried HP Scan doctor and updating the firmware with no changes.  I would really appreciate any help!

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

For now, let us try these steps:

 

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

 

If that doesn't help, which app is used for scanning?

Hi, I already had tried that, it did not help.  I have the same problem from the HP Scan app and directly using the buttons on the printer.

Here's what you need to do:

  1. Uninstall HP printer software, and then remove the printer from your Devices list. 
    and remove HP Smart.
  2. Restart the PC
  3. Close all programs
  4. download only this complete package: HP Color LaserJet Pro M277 Printer series Full Software and PCL 6 Driver 
  5. Close all programs
  6. Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the EXE,
    File name: HP_Color_LJ_Pro_MFP_M277-full-solution-22047.exe (116.4 MB)
  7. The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
  8. Restart the System again
  9. Now the installation is complete.

Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.

I don't think this will work since the same problem happens on both computers that use this printer.  It just randomly started doing the problem last week.  It seems like a problem with software on the printer itself, even though updating the firmware didn't help.

Then the scanner said goodbye!

But printing still works without any problems?
